Sitting by the Osby lake these words came to me. Enjoy Summer is here.
Inspired by the Twitter's short format of tweets these lines throw themselves upon me. I had no chance. They just took me. Here you find Satyananda on twitter.com. One example is the poem Five shorties.
I thought about my own relationship with Nukunu and with other teachers. I also considered my own role as a spiritual teacher. Read Teacher and student.
A walk on dusty roads in the forest made this lines come to me: The forest.
About the poems
In poetry I try to catch that which cannot be put in words. Here I experience myself naked, open, and vulnerable. I am just here and life runs through this body-mind. What to do? It just happens and I have no power over what will come. There is only this presence and love expressing itself.
The poems come to me almost complete. I just chop off some rough corners and there is the poem. I can't do anything about the contents. It is not my own - I am being used.
Most times I wander around with some lines in my head. I sit down, write the first lines and then it flows on by itself. The poem carries within it its own shape and rhythm. The symmetry is important and the experience of balance. Then the poem just finishes and there is nothing more to say, that moment. Some times I can return and try to change something that I don't like. But this does not usually work. The first version remains and I have to learn to leave it just like that and carry on with my life.
Enjoy and travel together with me.
