Light and shadow

Both light and shadow
dance through our lives.
When we try to keep one of them
and say:
“this is the way I always want to have it”,
the other is knocking at our door.
Yesterday we made love, drowned in each other
lost in the waves of love.

Today I found it hard to look at your face
your look pierces through me.
I am ashamed of something that I don’t know
and I wonder:
“How can I reach you again?”
I feel sorrow and uncertainty,
and I long to rest
together with you again.

But also this time,
this new moment,
talks to me – but in another way.
Can I take also this to my heart
and tell you how it is
for me right now?
And that I love you in the same way
as before.
It just feels different and
I am uncertain and afraid.
